Player Ratings: Arsenal 2-1 Fulham as Starboy Saka makes goalscoring return
Find out who impressed with our Player Ratings after Saka scored on his return
Fears are growing over the extent of Gabriel's injury
Player Ratings:
David Raya: 6/10 - Parried a Raul Jimenez effort at his near post after the interval but was left stranded when Rodrigo Muniz popped up with a late header, that the Fulham forward somehow contrived to miss with an open goal gaping from a matter of yards out. Prior to scoring a late consolation in the 94th minute
Jurrien Timber: 7/10 - Went down with a knock on his knee but thankfully the Dutch defender was fit enough to continue. Blasted an effort that was bravely blocked by former Gunner Bernd Leno at his near post
William Saliba: 6.5/10 - A rare slip to allow Raul Jimenez to unleash a powerful effort that Raya did well to block. Looked strangely unsettled against the Mexican and Adana Traore
Gabriel: N/A - Went down with what looked like a hamstring issue after pulling up in a sprint with Adama Traore. Yet the ball didn't go out of play for a minute or so, and the Arsenal defender tried to play on before eventually succumbing. Who knows how much damage he's done before Real Madrid, with Jakub Kiwior replacing him
Myles Lewis-Skelly: 7/10 - Returned to the club an England goalscorer after a memorable first international call-up and continued to show his class in a mature display
Thomas Partey: 7/10 - Solid and reliable
Declan Rice: 7/10 - Put in a shift
Martin Odegaard: 6.5/10 - Fired over when well placed early in the second half following good work by Ethan Nwaneri
Mikel Merino: 7/10 - A scrappy finish off Jorge Cuenca past former Gunner Bernd Leno to put the home side ahead on 38 minutes
Ethan Nwaneri: 7/10 - Excellent cutback for Merino’s goal
Gabi Martinelli: 7.5/10 - Lively throughout and provided an exquisite ball for the returning Saka to score from to cap a fairytale returns for the No7
Substitutes:
Jakub Kiwior: 6/10 - The prospect of the Pole against Kylian Mbappe next week is not something many would like to contemplate
Bukayo Saka: 8/10 - Received the biggest cheer of the night when the Arsenal No7 replaced Ethan Nwaneri on 66 minutes
Leandro Trossard: 6.5/10 - Swapped with Timber late on
WOUULD YOU BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!! IT'S BUKAYO SAKA!!!!!!
