Prologue

With only two home games in the whole of March, this London derby will be only the third home game in more than six weeks for Mikel Arteta's side.

It's a wonder that many haven't forgotten what the Premier League table looks like, with the all-consuming prosepct of two mouth-watering clashes against the mighty Real Madrid from next week in the Champions League - which is the only real chance of the Gunners landing silverware, with Arne Slot's Liverpool side now 12 points clear with only nine games to go domestically.

With Marco Silva's side suprisingly losing 3-0 at home to Crystal Palace to end Cottagers hopes of a trip to Wembley in the FA Cup semi-final, now could be a good time to play the west Londoners, who have given Arsenal problems over the last couple of seasons.

Not least after Silva reported "knocks and tiredness" among his squad in the wake of their FA Cup quarter-final defeat, while Arsenal have won all seven of their Premier League games on April Fools Day by an aggregate score of 25-3.

Arsenal vs Fulham team news

Arsenal team news

The good news is that Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is ready to return after three months out with a torn hamstring, and could even start the match.

Jurrien Timber has recovered from illness but fellow defender Riccardo Calafiori is set to miss a few weeks with the knee injury he picked on international duty.

Fulham

Former Gunners player Reiss Nelson is among the long-term absentees with a hamstring injury.

Head-to-head

Arsenal have never lost in 31 home league fixtures against Fulham (W24, D7) - which makes it the most home games one side has ever played against another without defeat across the history of English football.

That said, the Gunners have failed to win any of their past three meetings (D2, L1) - even if they have lost just one of their last 19 Premier League matches (W11, D7).

Arteta's side have earned 20 points in London derbies this season, more than any other side.
