Arsenal want to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £50m this January

The 25-year-old Brazil born striker has caught the eye with excellent form for the Molineux club so far this season.

Cunha has been Wolves' standout performer this season, scoring 10 goals and providing four assists in 19 Premier League matches.

Arsenal are aiming to bolster their squad in a bid to overhaul Liverpool's lead at the top of the table, as they hunt their first title in more than two decades. 

However, it is understood that the Molineux outfit have no interest in selling the striker this January.

Vitor Pereira and his side are in a relegation battle but improved form has seen the Old Gold side ease out of the dreaded drop zone, after picking up seven points from three league games since the experienced Portuguese boss arrived in the west Midlands.
