“Unfortunately he has picked up an injury and is going to be out for a few weeks,” admitted Arsenal boss Arteta on Monday afternoon

Mikel Arteta confirmed on Monday afternoon talented teen Ethan Nwaneri is set to spend a "few weeks" out after picking up an injury during the frustrating 1-1 draw with Brighton on Saturday evening.

The 17 year old starlet started his second Premier League game on the bounce, netting an excellent strike to put the Gunners 1-0 up on 16 minutes.

The Gunners No53 was switched at the interval for Gabriel Martinelli after Arteta revealed after the match that it was due to a muscular injury.

“Unfortunately he has picked up an injury and is going to be out for a few weeks,” said the Arsenal boss ahead of hosting Newcastle at the Emirates on Tuesday evening.

“It’s a muscular injury.”
