Arsenal could be lose another player to injury during an international break this season.
Riccardo Calafiori was forced off during the Azzurri's 2-1 Nations League defeat to Germany, after slipping and falling awkwardly - with fears rising the 22-year-old could miss the Gunners Champions League clash with Real Madrid next month.
With Gunners captain Martin Odegaard missing a large chunk of the early part of this season after being injured playing for Norway, prior to Gabriel Jesus suffering a season ending ACL before Christmas, along with a serious hamstring injury for Bukayo Saka, not to metion Kai Havertz being struck with a similar issue during the club's warm weather training camp in Dubai early this year, many Arsenal fans have had just about enough of international football this term.
"We still don’t know if he’s injured," said Italy boss Luciano Spalletti said after the match.
"Ricky felt something strange in his knee but we still don’t know."
The popular left-back has now returned to London for further testing.
Given Calafiori's previous history, fans are hoping Calafiori has not injured his ACL again, after twisting and landing on the turf in an awkward position at the San Siro on Thursday.
Calafiori suffered what many thought was going to be a career-ending knee injury when he was just a teenager, but battled back, even if he was out of the game for two years.
