Arsenal midfielder Laila Harbert is set to join Southampton on loan for the remainder of the 2024/25 season, the Gooner Fanzine understands.
Harbert will follow fellow Arsenal youngster Vivienne Lia to St Mary’s, with Lia also joining the Saints on loan last week. Southampton are managed by former midfielder Remi Allen.
Talented midfielder Harbert signed her first professional contract with Arsenal earlier this month on her 18th birthday, along with Lia and Maddy Earl.
Harbert captained England Under-17 at the European Championships and World Cup in 2024, as well as spending time with Watford on dual registration in the Championship last season, making 14 appearances.
Southampton sit eighth in a competitive Championship table, with 15 points putting them closer to leaders Birmingham City than bottom side Portsmouth. Harbert could make her debut away to Durham on Sunday.
The Saints also signed Aston Villa forward Georgia Mullett on loan on Thursday.
