Arsenal striker Jesus: I'm very happy and want to keep scoring

Delighted Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus shared his joy at scoring with TNT Sport

Jesus started 2025 in fine fashion when the Brazil striker made it six goals in four matches in all competitions before the half hour mark, when showing excellent anticipation to level Bryan Mbeumo’s early opener for Brentford.

Second half goals from Mikel Merino and Gabi Martinelli sealed a vital victory for the Gunners in west London on New Years Day 2025.

The Arsenal forward spoke to TNT Sport immediately after the Gunners beat Brentford 3-1.

Read on for what he had to say:

"The team did great today, to come here and play the way we play is amazing. Not just because of the result.

"The way we reacted, to come back against a tough opponent, we did it."

On his turn around:

"Keep working. Not just me, everyone. It is not easy to play for a big club like Arsenal. I was playing good but I wasn't scoring.

"I am very happy and I want to keep scoring!"

"I am always expecting the ball to appear to me but I was a bit lucky, it was in-front of me and I tried to put it in.

"The support they give us is amazing, we want to say thank you and we are really happy."

On stepping up with no Bukayo Saka:

"No one can replace him. He is one of the best players in the world. We are going to try our best for the club and I am sure he is happy with the result!"
