The mighty Real Madrid await in the last eight for Mikel Arteta's Arsenal after easing past PSV Eindhoven 9-3 on aggregate following Wednesday night's 2-2 draw at the Emirates, to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Next month's eagerly-awaited clash will be the first time the Gunners have played Real since the never to be forgotten last-16 clash basck in 2005-06, when Thierry Henry's stunning goal in the Bernabeu clinched the two legged tie 1-0 after the 0-0 at Highbury in what was arguably the finest goalless draw in the club's history. 

Real knocked out city rivals Atletico on penalties in their last-16 tie, on a night of high drama after Atletico's Julian Alvarez was judged to have touched the ball twice when scoring his spot-kick - leading to Carlo Ancelotti's side eventually winning the shooutout 4-2.
