Crystal Palace 1-5 Arsenal: Arsenal put on a royal performance at the Palace
Rampant Gunners rout Palace at Selhurst as Jesus grabs another two goals in 5-1 romp
Gabriel Jesus scored another two goals cap a royal week against Palace as Mikel Arteta's rampant Gunners closed the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool to within three points.
Arsenal thrashed Oliver Glasner's Eagles 5-1 as Jesus made it five goals in four days by putting Arsenal 2-1 up.
That was before Ismaila Sarr - who once starred for Rennes in a Europa League victory in France over Arsenal back in 2019 - equalised for Palace.
However, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and Declan Rice made it a rout as joyous Arsenal fans massed in the away end at Selhurst Park sang gleefully: "Jingle Bells/Jingle Bells/Jingle All The Way/Oh what fun it is to see/The Arsenal win away..."
The one worrying moment for Arsenal was when Bukayo Saka limped off with a hamstring issue, with the player set to be assesed over the next 24 hours to see if the England international has suffered a serious injury.
