Forest 0-0 Arsenal: Honours even sees Liverpool move 13 points clear
Goalless at the City Ground between Forest and Arsenal
Wednesday evening's goalless draw in front of 30,200 at the City Ground meant Mikel Arteta's Arsenal now languish 13 points behind table toppers Liverpool.
Arsenal's season is in danger of petering out, following their disappointing 1-0 home defeat to West Ham at the weekend, and two more dropped points against third-placed Forest.
With the Gunners missing injured Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz, Leandro Trossard and Mikel Merino worked hard up front, but are simply not strikers.
The nearest the visitors came to scoring was when full-back Riccardo Calafiori's shot hit the far post before ending up in keeper Matz Sels' arms midway through the first half. While Sels' saved from Merino's close range header after the interval.
David Raya foiled Forest's 18-goal striker Chris Wood with an excellent second half block.
The draw kept alive Forest's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next term, with Nuno Espirito Santo's side six points behind Arsenal but two clear of Chelsea in fifth.
