Prologue
It's the quarter-finals of the UEFA Women's Champions League, with all Gunners eyes on Real Madrid vs Arsenal in the Spanish capital.
Despite losing their opening group game in a 5-2 shellacking in Germany at the hands of Bayern Munich - the catalyst for the removal of Jonas Eidevall, following a home defeat to Chelsea a matter of days later - Arsenal under then interim boss, now permanent, Renee Slegers finished top of the table, including victories over Juventus, and 3-2 vs Munich in the return at Meadow Park.
For their part, Real Madrid finished second behind Chelsea in Group B, losing home and away to the Women's Super League outfit.
The Spaniards head into the clash after a 2-2 draw with Deportivo last time out - leaving them seven points behind Barcelona at the top of the table.
Can Arsenal get past Los Blancos to set up a last-four meeting with either Bayern Munich or Lyon? Posting a decent away result would play a big part.
The scene is set for tonight's match.

Arsenal team news
Sleger's side warmed up for their trip to the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano with a 3-1 victory over Everton.
However, Arsenal head coach Renée Slegers revealed to the Gooner Fanzine why centre-back Laia Codina has not been involved in the Gunners’ squad for their last three games.
Former Barcelona centre-back Codina has not featured for Arsenal since February, but the Spain international travelled to Madrid ahead of the Gunners’ Champions League quarter-final first leg against Real.
Asked by the Gooner about Codina’s absence: Slegers said: “She's been managing some minor problems, so that's why.
“Codi is an important player for us, and she's with us now, she's been on the pitch, so that's great. She's coming back from managing a couple of problems.”
Slegers also revealed Daphne van Domselaar remains unavailable after suffering a concussion against Liverpool earlier this month, with Lotte Wubben-Moy still sidelined.
Kick-off is at 545 UK time on TNT Sports 1, with live coverage beginning at 530.
