David Raya: 6.5/10 - Given no chance by Fernandes for the opener. No Porto heorics in an Emirates shootout this time around 

Jurrien Timber: 6.5/10 - Replaced by Thomas Partey after 100 long and tiring minutes giving his all for the cause

William Saliba: 7/10 - Elegant and stylish even in today’s maelstrom

Gabriel: 7/10 - Hooked the ball home via a deflection off Matthijs de Ligt to make it 1-1

Myles Lewis-Skelly: 6.5/10 - The talented teenager with such a calm temperament showed such character amid a maelstrom. Could possibly have done better when Alejandro Garnacho beat him to set up Fernandes for his goal, but apart from had another excellent game

Jorginho: 6/10 - Metronomic. Kept things neat and tidy in the heat of battle

Mikel Merino: 7/10 - Fouled by Diogo Dalot who was deservedly handed his second yellow card of the match to leave United with ten players

Martin Odegaard: 5/10 - Saw second half spot kick saved by United’s impressive reserve keeper Altay Bayindir

Kai Havertz: 5/10 - Effort went wide when well-placed after the interval to underline that fact that ther Gunners need extra firepower.

Jesus: 6/10 - Worked hard as usual before going down with what looked like a serious injury while tracking back in the Gunners box. Replaced by Raheem Sterling as the United fans booed the former Manchester City striker. Charming

Gabi Martinelli: 6/10 - Lively but not able to influence matters

Substitutes:

Raheem Sterling: 5.5/10 -Good to have the experienced winger back in action for the Gunners, even if it was a shame he had to replace the stricken Jesus in a forced first half substitution due to a serious injury suffered by the Brazilian

Declan Rice: 6/10 - Swapped with Mikel Merino on 73 minutes. Had a superb header saved well

Leandro Trossard: 5/10 -Replaced teenage talent MLS for the 30 minutes extra time

Thomas Partey: 6/10 - On for Jurrien Timber on 100 minutes
