Mikel Arteta issues Premier League rallying cry
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta led his side to a 1-0 victory over Chelsea on Sunday.
The Gunners dominated their opponents from west London, causing problems for the shaky Blues backline, as makeshift striker Mikel Merino headed in Martin Odegaard’s corner on 20 minutes for the game's only goal.
The majority of the squad will now join up with their respective countries during the international break, while Arteta issued a rallying cry.
Speaking to BBC Match of the Day, Arteta said after the match: "I will have a few days off and then prepare for the last sprint of the season."
Assessing the victory over Enzo Maresca's underwhelming Chelsea side, Arteta said: "It was a big game and we wanted to win against a top team."
Sunday's triumph saw the Gunners cut the deficit to 12 points behind Premier League table toppers Liverpool - who capped a bad week by losing the Carabao Cup final, following PSG's win over the Merseysiders at Anfield in the Champions League, with Arteta adding: "We did enough to deserve to win the game.
"Now we have the international break so let's take a chance to breathe and bring some players back hopefully.
"I really liked the attitude of the team."
