It was a deeply dissapointing night for Arsenal at the Emirates as they were forced to settle for a draw against Southampton. 

The Gunners conceded in the first minute after a mistake from Ramsdale, Walcott added a second shortly after which set the tone of the game. 

Martinelli got one back for Arsenal but all positive play was cancelled out after as Caleta-Car scored from the corner to make it 3-1. 

Late drama saw Odegaard and Saka level the scoring, but all was too late.

White: 6.5 - Good in attack linking with Saka. 

Gabriel: 5.5 - At fault for the second Saints goal, lost track of Walcott.

Zinchenko: 5.5 - Gave the ball away numerous times, little influence in attack. 

Partey: 5.5 - Not his usual self again, some good passes but no solidity in central midfield. 

Vieira: 5 - No presence in midfield, misread a number of passes and looked out of depth.

Odegaard: 6 - A difficult night for Arsenal's captain, got a late goal and was influencial in the final moments. 

Martinelli: 7.5 - Arsenal's shining light, got his goal and always looked lively in attack.

Saka: 7 - Caused a lot of problems for Southampton down the right side. 

Jesus: 6 - Got heated a lot off the ball, encouraging going forward but no real chances.

SUBS:

Trossard: 5 - Not a huge influence, Saints scored shortly after he was introduced which seemed to kill the intensity of the game.
