Arsenal Women scored three goals in five second half minutes to progress into the Subway Cup semi-finals with a 4-0 win away to Brighton.
Spoke to Renee Slegers about Mariona's impact, Kyra Cooney-Cross' goal and defensive rotation in Arsenal's 4-0 Subway Cup QF win- @GoonerFanzine ??"It was the running joke before Christmas that Kyra was always winning those finishing practices" ??https://t.co/6XG7GvZoeE

Player ratings:
Manu Zinsberger 7/10
A little wayward in her distribution but a routine clean sheet for the Austrian.
Katie McCabe 8.5/10
The only survivor of Sunday’s back four, continuing at left-back. Almost put Arsenal in front on the half hour mark when her first-time effort skimmed the crossbar, pushing high up the pitch to create chances. A simple but deserved goal to make it 2-0.
Laia Codina 7.5/10
Calm and confident on the ball, with little defending to do as the goals rained in during the second half.
Lotte Wubben-Moy 7.5/10
Replaced Leah Williamson at centre-back and helped the Gunners keep yet another clean sheet.
Katie Reid 6.5/10
The teenager was preferred to Laura Wienroither at right-back, with the everpresent Emily Fox dropping to the bench. Still getting used to the position but grew into the game as it went on before being booked for a foul and then replaced by Fox.
Lia Walti 7/10
‘Snake-hips’ returned to the starting lineup but was forced off due to injury before half time.
Kyra Cooney-Cross 8.5/10
Pressed well in midfield and scored an absolute rocket to make it 3-0, driving the ball into the top right corner!
Rosa Kafaji 7.5/10
Started on the left wing and was Arsenal’s brightest spark in the first half, involved in a lot of the Gunners’ attacking play.
Frida Maanum 7.5/10
Put Arsenal in front with a routine finish after Brighton gave the ball away playing out from the back.
Beth Mead 7.5/10
Linked play up well on the right wing. Replaced by Mariona in the second half.
Alessia Russo 7.5/10
Headed straight at Melina Loeck from a teasing McCabe cross in the first half and will feel she should have scored on the night. Set up McCabe’s goal.
Kim Little (Sub, 45+2’) 8/10
Replaced Walti in first half stoppage time and absorbed pressure effectively in a congested midfield.
Mariona Caldentey (Sub, 57’) 9/10
Hit the post five minutes after coming on with a low drive, before selflessly squaring the ball to Maanum for Arsenal’s opener and setting up Cooney-Cross’ goal. A clever lob late on capped a magnificent display from the bench.
Emily Fox (Sub, 57’) 7/10
Replaced Reid at right-back.
Stina Blackstenius (Sub, 79’)
Leah Williamson (Sub, 79’)
Subs not used: Daphne van Domselaar, Steph Catley, Laura Wienroither, Caitlin Foord.
