I don't believe it will be a burden for Cesc to captain Arsenal any more than playing in the team as a teenager was. All he has to do is what Tony Adams did so well, and by way of assistance I offer Cesc this handy A-Z guide:
A - Retain your modesty Cesc.
B - When Arsenal score minimise your goal celebrations in order to raise the awareness of colleagues that now is the time to concentrate rather than concede a goal while we are most vulnerable.
C - Pick short or long sleeved shirts when asked to by the kitman (Mr Akers).
D - Make the correct call be it 'heads' or 'tails' prior to kick off.
E - Kick towards the Clock End first half.
F - Always be nice but firm to the ref in any one of the three languages you speak.
G - Lift the team when they are down.
H - Drive the team when they need to be driven.
I - Use a consoling arm when required.
J - Don't slag off team mates via the media.
K - Be nice to any new boys, including that nice Mr Gazidis.
L - Don't throw any pizza at away games.
M - Always shake hands with opponents and refs after a game no matter how filthy the match or how crap the ref.
N - Don't let the team, your team, relax when they are on top.
O - Unlike Tony Adams please don't take your team-mates out on regular benders.
P - Don't f*** off to Spain at the end of the season. Please.
Q - Chin Gallas to show him who is boss if and when he throws another strop.
R - Be very nice to Gael when he next scores an o.g. or gives away a penalty.
S - Give Jack and Aaron extra sweeties if they play well. A bagful if they score.
