Player ratings:
Daphne van Domselaar 10/10
Returned from an ankle injury in a crucial boost for Arsenal. A little shaky dealing with Lyon corners but barely put a foot (or hand) wrong to deny a number of Lyon efforts.
Katie McCabe 10/10
Tussled with Ellie Carpenter and Melchie Dumornay- probably Arsenal’s most fouled player- and delivered some excellent crosses. Worked incredibly hard from start to finish.
Steph Catley 10/10
Went down injured midway through the first half but was fine to continue to the relief of Arsenal’s fans.
Leah Williamson 10/10
Superb up against Ada Hegerberg and won everything in the air, with her experience crucial.
Emily Fox 10/10
Brought up her 50th Arsenal appearance and it was Emily Fox at her best, going about her business unnoticed to help the Gunners seal a memorable night.
Kim Little 10/10
Worked tirelessly in midfield alongside Mariona, with Arsenal’s long-serving, loyal captain finally reaching the Champions League final.
Mariona Caldentey 10/10
An incredible strike into the top corner to make it 2-0 to the Gunners on the stroke of half time, a crucial goal from Arsenal’s player of the season.
Caitlin Foord 10/10
Very lively in the first half cutting in off the left wing, and sealed Arsenal’s spot in the final by capitalising on a slip at the back before slamming the ball home.
Frida Maanum 10/10
Didn’t know much about it but was in the right place to level on aggregate early on for the Gunners after Christiane Endler failed to deal with an inswinging corner. Picked out Alessia Russo for her goal with a clever pass.
Chloe Kelly 10/10
Preferred to Beth Mead on the wing and enjoyed her battle with Carpenter, causing Lyon plenty of problems.
Alessia Russo 10/10
Headed wide from Mariona’s cross midway through the first half but teed up the Spaniard’s goal and kept her cool to slot home Arsenal’s third straight after half-time.
Beth Mead (Sub, 72’)
Stina Blackstenius (Sub, 72’)
Lotte Wubben-Moy (Sub, 86’)
Kyra Cooney-Cross (Sub, 76’)
