Don’t mess with ‘The Family’

Is the Chavski saga turning into a remake of ‘The Godfather’?

Don’t mess with ‘The Family’

Don Corleone: Currently working in Chavski’s press office?

My mother-in-law’s favourite movie is ‘The Godfather’. Pretty much every time we visit, it’s playing on the video machine. I felt like I was watching it again when I read Chavski’s most recent statement on the subject of one William Gallas.

Now for legal reasons let me state this. As far as the courts of law in this or any other country are concerned, let me state the following.

There is absolutely no link between any shady illegal dealings occurring with the Russian Mafia, their vast pot of cash and the owner of Chavski. None.

It has also occurred to me that: this Roman Abramovich chap is spending money like there’s no tomorrow on assets which will be of zero use to any government that at some future stage might think he could have done something a bit naughty.

He can always live on one of his super yachts (which come under the above category of purchases) to see his days out should things ever get sticky.

He doesn’t seem to spend a lot of time in Russia these days.

When seen in public, he requires several bodyguards. Some of these carry weapons. Technically not something the police would allow me to do, but 2% of Roman’s fortune is worth a lot more to the government than 33% of what I earn. So we’ll pass on that one.

According to an official Chavski statement, William Gallas has chosen to reject ‘the family’.

William. I think you’ll make a great addition to the Arsenal squad, but a word from the wise. Just make sure your life insurance policy is up to date, eh mate?

And as this is an anonymous posting, it’ll save me giving the same advice to my mother-in-law.
