Wear yellow this Sunday to celebrate Anfield 89

A themed day to mark a special game in Arsenal’s history

Wear yellow this Sunday to celebrate Anfield 89

One of these will do you (I’d wear a sweatshirt underneath if I were you though!)

There have been many great games against this Sunday’s opponents through the years and whenever Gooners from far and wide gather and discuss Arsenal v Liverpool games, Anfield 89 tends to be the main focus.

We are rapidly approaching the twentieth anniversary of that great night when Mickey Thomas sent us all into delirium. The celebrations of the event are already well into the planning stage for the end of the season.

Following on from a suggestion at the recent REDaction planning meeting that there should be ‘themed’ days in terms of colours worn etc, we thought that Sunday would be the perfect opportunity for everyone to wear YELLOW for the match.

Let’s remind ourselves, our opponents, and the millions watching of one of the proudest nights in Arsenal’s history, and inspire the new generation of players to greater heights.

Remember ‘Victory Through Harmony’ - get those ‘away’ shirts out new or old and let’s reawaken the ‘Spirit of Anfield 89’!
