I read most articles within the onlinegooner and would wholeheartedly agree with the usual moans- i.e. need for holding midfielders, need for central defenders, ticket exchange is a joke etc etc...
What I have finally had enough of is listening to the deluded individuals who believe that moving to the Emirates has killed off the 'proper supporters' and those wonderful 35,000 who were fortunate enough to get into Highbury.
I was a longstanding silver member in those days and got some shocking views at the back of the East Lower and Clock End. I was also 'fortunate' enough to be always sat next to some idiot who always knew better than Arsene Wenger, who very rarely sang and who's reaction would change completely once we scored.
I have been to some cracking games when the atmosphere was fantastic, Juventus springs to mind when we saw Patrick put to the sword by Cesc, but they are too numerous to mention.
I have also been to just as many when we were very, very quiet and the plain fact is there have always been pockets that were vocal and pockets that were not.
What drive me mad now is that suddenly the 25,000 additional supporters are apparently the only ones who do not sing. I have a fantastic seat ten yards to the left of the 'singing section' - obviously this small corner of the ground is much larger than I thought as it holds 30,000 from Highbury who would sing until their voice went!
I go away as much as I can and I believe we are up there with the best for vocal support away from home. The grounds we go to are not that noisy and when they are... it's cos they've come to see the Arsenal. How noisy is it when THEY are at home to Plymouth??
