The Grove: As yet, booing has not been outlawed

There is nothing more in my life that makes me more elated, depressed, anxious, enraged, disappointed or thrilled than Arsenal Football Club. The Gunners are most definitely (and to the detriment of several relationships and occupations) the single most important thing in my life.

I have sat in Block 1 for every game bar one this season and sing until hoarse at every opportunity. In consideration of my unwavering pure obsession and commitment I feel I have an unconditional right to react in any way I want in the face of our recent drab, toothless performances.

It p*sses me off no end to read these articles from various idiot preaching fans who claim that giving a sh*t, to the extent where you don't just follow the ‘Arsene Knows Best’ bandwagon and blindly applaud quite clearly the worse performances in ages, is putting us all to shame. I have never booed any Arsenal player but have screamed blue murder at the likes of Eboue and Bendtner when they have yet again failed to meet a standard that I think we deserve to see at The Grove.

WE ARE THE ARSENAL. I go completely bananas with appreciation when we play with desire, tenacity and hunger - like a true Gooner should - although, if a supporter wants to boo they have every right to if we play as utterly sh*te as we have been doing. I wouldn't personally, I doubt it's a massive help - but this is the longest run of scoreless performances since 94-95 on the back of losing to the likes of Fulham, Stoke and Hull, giving it up to the Spuds at home, putting up with that clown Eboue, Ade showing a massive nonchalance compared to last season’s delights, going through the transfer window rigmarole and not bringing home trophy for what feels like an eternity.

So if people feel the negativity creeping in it's pretty obvious why and I can speak on behalf of many of us who hold the club so dear - it's because we give a sh*t - if we didn't there would be no reaction to comment on.
