Time is running out for Arsenal to recover something from their annus horribilis

Bentley: Who would have thought he’d miss from 12 yards?

Yet another blank on Saturday. It’s now a major concern. Everton are sneaking up behind us and we are running out of games. Yes we have this unbeaten run going, but look how many draws we’ve had and most of them against teams we really should have beaten.

I’ve read a couple of articles about the Fulham game on onlineooner and they seem to disagree with the booing. Well I’m sorry but if you fork out £50 plus for a ticket you want to see goals and a good performance and if you don’t, you have the right to vent your frustrations accordingly.

You should always back your team but to win games you must score goals and Saturday’s game against Fulham was just yet another chapter in this horror story of a season. We had the unlikely result of Stoke clawing back a draw at Villa so I think tonight’s game at West Brom is our last chance saloon regarding fourth place. And we have to hope Man City beat Villa on Wendnesday night because bottom line, if you can’t score against West Brom - who have the worst defence in the league then we don’t deserve anything, let alone fourth place.

We have Burnley on Sunday then hopefully Hull in the quarter final and then dare I say it, a trip to Wembley for a semi-final but stranger things have happened this season.

Commiserations to the Spuds yesterday... not. Lol. It’s never nice to lose on spot kicks but in a final somebody has to lose and in Bentley and O'Hara, two ex-Arsenal "products" for want of a better term, who would have put money on them missing the crucial kicks. Spurs did however manage to give them a game and take them to extra time and that may have an effect on both teams.

I just can’t wait to see Theo, Eddie, Cesc and Tomas all on the same pitch, hopefully this season and I hope we win the FA and European Cups, but at the moment a few goals wouldn’t go amiss either.
