John Leaver: Really, some guys don't know when they are well off. Having been on the waiting list for a season ticket for over 10 years (I'm 55 and I live in Nottingham), I nearly cried for joy when I finally parted with my £1770 (also for my son). I've already seen every minute of every game at the new stadium so far, and have thought myself extremely lucky to do so.
I was able to get our tickets in REDaction, and it seems that was a pretty good decision, but surely it's a matter of building the atmosphere in every part of the ground, and that won't happen with idiots like Andrew P who want it on a plate or not at all! OK some of the comments are ripe, but they come from the heart (truly). There is nothing but encouragement for the team and you can see the improvement there already! I am just dying to be able to break into the regular contest in the orange section, (We're the North Bank… We're the South Bank etc.) with "We're the waiting list" because that's got real passion! So roll on the 14th and my next 270 mile round trip!
Will Ferry: Will people stop slagging off the new stadium. We've finally got a classy modern stadium, with facilities a capacity to be proud of. Would you prefer to stay at Highbury and have the embarrassment of Chelsea, Man City and even Sunderland having bigger stadiums? I think the atmosphere in the Stadium has been excellent, better than the silence of the "Library". As for the name, well get used to it because sponsorship of stadium names is going to happen a lot more, just like shirt sponsorship in the 80's. Remember we get paid for having a daft name, unlike Sunderland. At least Emirates is a reparable company, unlike Wigan who get the name of a fifth rate sports design company.
Tony C: I've just read the piece by Andrew P and can't believe how pretentious it was! So this guy comes to two games, finds a small section of the crowd not singing and then announces 'f*** Arsenal' as if we are going to be affected by him not turning up anymore?? Did Mr P ever go to Highbury and sit in the East or West Upper? You'd have been lucky to find someone awake in these areas at Highbury, let alone jumping up and down singing!! Of course there are areas of the ground that won't sing, as there are at pretty much every ground in the country, get on with it and support your team, don't get on your high horse.
I actually think the atmosphere is better at the new stadium and will get even better, I can't wait for a 'big' game against the likes of Chelsea or Moan U. Oh, and I join in the singing, in my West Stand lower seat but I'll tell you what, I HATE the 'Stand up if you hate Tottenham' song, what a pathetic song it is and you get some moron telling you to stand up (because you obviously love Tottenham if you don't) bollocks!! It's a stupid song and I'll reserve my jumping out of my seat for when we get over the halfway line!!
Ian, South Africa: Andrew P - How lucky you are to get to two games in a month. If I'm lucky I might get to two games in a year. A 12 000 mile round journey isn't exactly conducive to attending frequently... yet you have the gall to complain because somebody asked you not to use the f word? Poor dear. I'd happily sit amongst 60 000 Trappist monks if I could watch my Gooners live every week. And, much as it might gall me, (I also know all the chants and my language can be as bad as any) it would be less of a hardship to sit in comparative (total?) silence live, than screaming my head off at the TV. I'd even put up with the monks leaving 15 minutes early for evening prayers.
