It's starting to get embarrassing now

Anelka: Maybe we should welcome him back…

So all we need is two players to put things right, that's right just two. And not the two in each department we all think is needed, two new goalkeepers, two new center halves, two new midfield players and two new forwards, but just two signings for the whole squad.

It's starting to get embarrassing now, and I am convinced Wenger is just digging his heels in and refusing to see what's obvious to everyone just out of sheer bloody mindedness. In the last month the other three clubs in the top four have put 11 goals past us in three games against our six, four of which were scored by Arshavin.

Next Saturday lunchtime we go to of all places OT where they will probably need a point to win the league. Our defence at the moment is gone, completely disintegrated, and never before have I feared for us getting a true walloping up there as much as I do right now. I really hope I'm wrong.

Maybe Arsene Wenger really does see himself as a father figure to some of the younger players and he just hasn't got it in him to tell them they're not good enough and to let them go, but someone has to and soon. There doesn't seem to be anyone on the Board who will read him (Wenger) the riot act, indeed as I suggested before he is probably doing all they ask of him, qualifying for the Champions League with anything else a bonus.

One thing I noticed on Sunday was when Anelka scored he refused to celebrate, I just wondered how many Gooners would be interested in having him back? He has to be better than Adebarndoor surely? Anyway fingers and everything else crossed that United don't feel the need to declare on Saturday.
