Phil Brown: Do we want ‘Tango man’ to stay in the top flight?

I am still seething about Phil Brown.

Whenever I see his wrinkled, orange face on Sky Sports News, I can’t help but get the compulsion to hurl abusive language at my 32” flatscreen. I don’t have much time for most Premiership managers (including ours at present), Allardyce, Ferguson, Moyes, Pullis and even Benitez do very little but talk utter crap. Since the turn of the year, Hull have been in freefall and I for one hope this continues for a fortnight longer.

We have far too many “Arsenal Haters” in the Premier League as it is, without ‘Tango man’ keeping his team of butchers in the top flight. I would happily swap West Brom, Middlesbrough, and Newcastle for Hull City, Blackburn Rovers and Stoke. It seems as though Fat Sam has scrapped out of the dogfight, so hopefully it will be Hull to disappear through the Championship trapdoor, never to be seen again!

So come on all you Gooners, and do something we probably all vowed at some point never to do. Cheer on Bolton Wanderers!!! Since Megson arrived at Bolton, I seem to be a lot more tolerant of this particular group of pie munchers. Although, knowing the ties and history between Brown and Bolton, it would not surprise me to see the Trotters roll over with their legs in the air, for their old pal Phil.

As for Arsenal. I find myself surprising optimistic all of a sudden, about the outing to Mancsville. No Pressure, no way up, no way down, just pride. These boys need to play for their places next season. And it’s high time some off them came out and said ‘SORRY’ for their shocking performances over the last month.

And as hollow and meaningless as a victory at Old Trafford may be come Saturday evening, it would still cheer me up no end. Double that with a Hull defeat, and things won’t seem so bad after all!
