Some transfer market suggestions for Arsene Wenger

Senderos: Put him out of his agony

Great result on Saturday evening, shame we couldn’t keep the clean sheet but like I said in my previous piece, I will take the three points anytime, no matter how good or bad the performance.

Everton just didn’t turn up and add to this the fact that they had a passenger in Lescott. I don’t see why we don’t go in for him as we can offer him the prospect of Champions League football THIS SEASON.

However, I was impressed with Vermaelen and to get on the scoresheet on you debut is always a good start. Alex Song put in another good performance but I think we’re snookered if he gets injured or if he’s selected for the Nations Cup in January.

I wouldn’t be surprised if at least three of our goals are in contention for goal of the month. The result will give the team confidence going into the Celtic game and that match is winnable but you just never know which Arsenal team will turn up, although I personally fully expect to make the group stages.

The transfer window has just under two weeks to run and I know we’ve all been barracking the boss for not spending any cash but when you look at the bigger picture, once we lost out on our main targets like Yaya Toure, Huntelaar, Hangeland and Chamakh there really isn’t much out there. I’m hoping that Wenger will pull a rabbit out of the hat and bag somebody at the eleventh hour like he’s done in the past (Baptista, Diarra).

Here is who I would like to buy/sell/loan out. Saloman Kalou - he wants to play for Wenger, he will play more with us than if he stays at Chelsea. Pape Diakhate - was fantastic in the Champions League for Dynamo Kiev and has the right attributes for the Premiership, he’s built like an ox and has pace to go with it. Dmitry Chygrinsky - impressed in the UEFA Cup last year and is being courted by Europe’s elite. Again we can offer him regular European football and he wouldn’t look out of place in the Premiership. I would loan out Carlos Vela on a short term basis so he can get more game time and the same with Armand Traore. Last of all, sell or loan Senderos as he is clearly not in Wenger’s plans.

Well, we’ve started the season well, here’s hoping.
