As many of you will know, this Friday we have 57,000 scarves to distribute, one onto each seat in the home sections. We have access to the stadium from midday until 9pm (or until the job gets finished), so if anybody is able to join us for some or all of the time, it would be much appreciated - obviously the earlier the better from our perspective, as its going to be a big job!
If you can come along, what we need from you in advance of the day is your name, and the names of anybody you'll be bringing with you. Also, a rough time of arrival (within an hour or so of when you plan to arrive). Please email us at [email protected] by Wednesday evening , and let us know the names and times of those coming along.
On the day, you'll need to go to the stadium entrance on Queensland Road - map and picture here. Security there will have your name on a list (if you've emailed to tell us), and will let you into the stadium.
Incidentally, on Friday you'll be able to get a great sneak preview of the work the Club have been doing in the lower tier concourses over the last three weeks. They have been working on lots of "Arsenalization" (i.e. decoration) of the lower tier concourse - something we've been on at them about for the last three years. Among other things are 12 huge walls depicting "great moments" in the club's history - an example is here. We're told the results will be very impressive indeed, so bring a camera - you'll be the first people to see it! It should be all done for the Pompey game, so if you are going to the game, plan to get in early for a good look around.
More from us later in the week, with details of opening hours at The Rocket among other things.
