Upton Park: War movie scenes?

I must say that I wasn’t suprised by the violence at last night's match between West Ham and Millwall. Although the scenes wouldn’t look out of place in a war movie. Absolutely shocking.

Anyway, on to our club. I’m expecting a win tonight, even if we rest players we should still have too much for them. The players will have one eye on Saturday’s visit to Manure, no matter how much Wenger plays it down. We have unfinished business with them. Getting eliminated in Europe by them really hurt and watching them celebrate after our league game hurt too. We have a chance to put that right on Saturday.

A good win tonight will keep the momentum going but I feel as well that the we must have a strong referee on Saturday - which you know ain’t going to happen. Liverpool beat Utd and Chavski twice last season and still came up short so we must keep it going for as long as we can.

There will be off days ahead for us but it’s how we handle them. Last season was a prime example and it should still be fresh in the players’ minds. I would like to win every game that we play, especially when it’s your rivals but in the words of Keegan "I would love it" if we beat Man City in their own back yard and I’m not talking 1-0, I’m thinking by two or three.

I hope Vermaelen and Gallas kick lumps out of Adebayor and it’s a good place to throw down the gauntlet. Yes Citeh have money and have bought some ‘world class’ players but if they can’t play as a team they won’t get anywhere. It will be interesting to see how they react when things go against them.
