Now available from our online store , issue 198 of The Gooner from September 2009 came out on the day Thomas Vermaelen scored twice in the 4-0 home defeat of Wigan, so who better to have on the front cover than the Verminator himself and there's an article inside which looks at the impact the Belgian defender has already made.

However, as he's been our only new signing, Gooner blogger Simon Rose also looks at how we might be able to get more from the existing squad, particularly Almunia, Eboue, Walcott and Bendtner.

There's plenty about Eduardo and his treatment by UEFA, the press and opposition fans after the penalty award against Celtic as well as all the usual regulars - Highbury Spy, Mickey Cannon, Anger Management, North Bank Times and a Dwight Hart-Lane inspired "How Lillywhite are you?" quiz.

Please note that it's become necessary to charge an additional 50p to cover postage costs in the UK for customers buying a single issue. Postage in the UK remains free of charge for subscriptions and customers buying more than one issue, including any of those from our back issue catalogue.

Subscribers who are still waiting for their copy, please be assured that the issues were despatched last Friday, but due to various strike actions across the Royal Mail network some copies have been delayed in reaching their destination for which we apologise but trust you will understand it’s outside of our control.
