Word is that the next batch of players to surround the stadium exterior will be up on the wall very soon.
Already up on the stadium wall looking quite superb are Bastin, Adams, Brady and Henry so if the club go for the top 32 as voted for on the 50 Gunners Greatest Players the other 28 would be: Dennis Bergkamp, Ian Wright, Patrick Vieira, Bobby Pires, David Seaman, Charlie George, Pat Jennings, Freddie Ljungberg, Marc Overmars, Kanu, David O'Leary, Sol Campbell, Rocky Rocastle, Pat Rice, Ray Parlour, Martin Keown, Lee Dixon, Manu Petit, Brian Talbot, John Radford, Cashley Cole (spits), Paul Merson, Alan Smith, Charlie Nicholas, Nic Anelka, Frank McLintock, Ted Drake and Nigel Winterburn.
I hope that doesn't happen because no way are these the best or by any means the most worthy Arsenal past masters.
My choice right now (because it's exceedingly tricky and I keep changing my mind) would probably be (in no particular order): Alex James, Jack Kelsey, George Eastham, Joe Baker, Eddie Hapgood, Joe Hulme, Bob John, Jack Lambert, Reg Lewis, George Male, Tom Parker, Geordie Armstrong, Dennis Bergkamp, Ian Wright, Pat Vieira, Charlie George, Robert Pires, David Seaman, Pat Jennings, Freddie Ljungberg, Marc Overmars, David O'Leary, David Rocastle, Pat Rice, John Radford, Alan Smith, Frank McLintock and Ted Drake.
Which still leaves out Wilf Copping, Peter Story, Manu Petit, David Jack, Herbie Roberts, Charlie Buchan, Jimmy Logie, Terry Neill, Joe Mercer, Lee Dixon, Nigel Winterburn, Dan Danskin and Lee Chapman not to mention those I've forgotten.
