Arsenal fans: Don’t panic!

Heads up despite the profligacy in front of goal. Someone will get a tonking soon enough

Arsenal fans: Don’t panic!

CSKA: Debut match for West London’s finest (that’s Daz not Clichy!)

Please stop all this mass hysteria about failing to win games.

Let’s examine facts. CSKA Moscow mid-twenties in shots at goal. When our strikers do hit form someone will get a hiding. Let’s hope they leave it to erm (the bridge). Note the small letters for disrespect. Man Ure and Chelsea are very ruthless at the moment. But hopefully their time will come and they will of course drop points. Everton are not a bad side. They have strengthened everywhere: goalkeeper, Howard, defence Lescott, they have Cahill in midfield and AJ is a good striker. Everton will hopefully give the other two, who are our only opposition, a tough 12 rounds.

First visit to the new stadium for me on Wednesday. Very impressed with the views of the ground, before attending I thought that the players would be matchsticks. Not impressed with the lack of alcohol on Champions League games. This does not make sense. There is a higher chance of violence when we have Millwall, Sperz, West Ham etc in the FA CUP, but CSKA Moscow? Don't understand the logic behind this one.

Don't agree with fellow Gooner comments about not singing about Ashley Cole. I'm not saying I would abuse him because he did a good job for us before he became like he did, but if others want to then, why not? All is fair I say. Big Sol had to handle it and did it without too much fuss, so I'm sure Ash will cope!

The fact is that the club level is here to stay. It's not as if the board are going to listen to us and pull it down. We need the money. Sadly this is football now. If the rest of the crowd can make all the noise I'm sure the players will be able to distance themselves from the corporate clowns juggling with smoked salmon and silver service.

Formations are debatable. The frustrating part is whether 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 or 4-5-1, no-one makes darting runs in the box, a la Freddie when he used to steam in to balls from Pires and Dennis. Hopefully time will change all that. It is a long season and if we had lost four by now I would be resigned to a fight for fourth place. But we have only lost one, therefore we have everything to look forward to.

PS. Hope Sheringham gets abuse tomorrow and if he takes a penalty I hope it’s as good as the one at the end of last season. Come on you reds!
