REDaction have been campaigning for nearly a year now to be able to pay tribute to Dennis Bergkamp for his amazing contribution to Arsenal during his time here.
Finally we have been given the green light, and the match on Saturday April 15th against West Brom has been designated as “Bergkamp Day.” This has been designed as an unofficial testimonial (although he will also receive an actual testimonial) from the fans to him and our way of showing him how much we appreciate all that he has achieved in his time here.
We are sure that the vast majority of Highbury regulars will agree with our opinion that Dennis was and is one of the major catalysts in the progression of our club over the last decade.
One of the main themes for the day will be to turn our stadium ‘orange’ in tribute to the great mans homeland, so get planning your wardrobe in advance.
Plans for the day are already at a pretty advanced stage and as we get nearer the time we will release further details. If you have any ideas for the day that you feel are appropriate, or indeed if you want to get involved and help us please feel free to get in touch with us at [email protected] .
