Flags out for the lads v Charlton

January 2nd has been designated Flag Day by the boys at REDaction

Flags out for the lads v Charlton

A classic example of the form, now banned!

Bring along any national flags on Tuesday evening for the match v Charlton. Word is that the vast majority of stewards, equally unhappy about the ban on such flags, are going to turn a blind eye, and if there are dozens / hundreds of flags dotted about they will be able to do very little.

Spread the word to everyone you know who feels the club has acted in an over the top manner in this issue. Even if you are a bit wary of waving a flag, REDaction suggest you do it for ten seconds when the teams come out. No-one is going to be ejected for that.

Looking at the onlinegooner forum , an interesting idea posted by ‘clockender1’ – “If anyone tries to take your flag off you, ask them for their name and address as under Article 10 of the EU Convention on Human Rights they are denying you Freedom of Expression and you can sue them. In fact it wouldn't be a bad idea for someone to photocopy it and distribute it outside the ground.”

Anyone got time on their hands, a photocopier and a few boxes of A4 paper before Tuesday evening?
