Writing after the 6-3 win at Anfield, I could be accused of giving it a big I told you so to all the doubters. However, the fact remains that not too many scousers can remember a player scoring four in their back yard. Now, can the more experienced boys take a leaf tactically out of the youth team and begin to vary the play a bit.
Goal 1: Long ball by Toure, Ali from the diary running on to shoot not once and give in, but follow up into the onion bag.
Goal 2: Baptista free kick which was not quite up to Thierry's standards but not far off.
Goal 3: Bodies in the box Steve Bould type flick, how we were overdue a lucky goal that bordered on handball. And Song as well!
Goal 4: Nice interchange of play springing the offside trap, didn't the commentators notice the left back of Liverpool (forget the new rules). The Beast's second of four.
Goal 5: Ball played from our penalty area for Aliadiere (best game in an Arsenal shirt to date) to chase, hold the ball up, take the p*ss out of Gerrard with a slide rule and Baptista arrow dart in the corner.
Goal 6: Carbon copy of goal 5 but with Ali now on a roll and putting the Beast in for a tap in.
Not to mention the missed penalty.
Now I am praying that at 5.15 on Saturday v Blackburn away we don't see a return of Ljungberg, to Eboue, to Fabs, to Gilberto, to Hleb, to Henry and all the way back again for 70 mins. We have about two shots on goal all game and miss and then Blackburn score from a corner for a 1-0 home win.
I don't want to read any reports of Senderos being the new Cygan. The lad has done well for us. Although Djourou is more comfortable on the ball and is in the team on merit. We now have four good centre backs. In the FA Cup game Senderos got us out of a sticky spell at 2-1 when he won every header in the box.
Hoyte has now removed Lauren from the Arse. Lauren has been a very good right back and should get a good reception if he leaves. Best moment from him was third goal in a 3-1 away win against Chelski in the FA Cup.
Although I will probably get slaughtered for this, my prediction is that the rest of the Premier League is bang in trouble next season. On this form we would have done the same to Chelsea and Man U weakened youth outfits with a couple of veterans at the age of 19 - 25 on a par with Toure and Fabs (if they have such a thing)!
