Don’t let Spurs off the hook

They enjoyed handing it out in our bleaker days, so it’s payback time for Tottenham fans, regardless of the gulf between the two clubs.

Lennon – Saving his ‘runs’ for the big occasions?

I'm getting fed up with the financial claptrap about the game you see in the papers day in day out. Yesterday a league table of the ten richest clubs was published. So what.

On to more heartening matters. Nice to see us beat the Sperz of course. Not enough was made of Lennon getting the sh*ts again before a big game. Perhaps us Gooners should make some capital out of Sperz getting ill before big occasions. So the next time a Spuds fan says Henry freezes in big games, mention Man U, Real Madrid and Brazil and then ask them what's wrong with their players before they have to walk the walk.

On the subject of Man U and Henry. I was very proud of our captain when he was fouled by Neville in the penalty that was not given. Instead of whingeing to the ref, he growled at Neville himself telling him that he was very fortunate to get away with it. Not enough credit is given to Henry’s fair play. It's one thing being a genius, but another being able to play fairly. This is why he gets a standing ovation at most grounds except the vile scum at the Lane, OT and the Bridge.

I don't agree with the person who says let’s forget about Sperz. They will always be in the top three of enemies and should be treated accordingly. If you are old enough you will remember when they gave us stick at the time they had Hoddle, Archibald Crooks and were winning FA Cups in ‘81 and ’82, as we struggled with Hawley, George Wood etc. They never let us off the hook for a second and we should be there waiting to pounce on their misfortunes.

Cross fingers we have an unbeaten end to the season now with cups aplenty.
