Arsenal’s fans are worse than the team

Harsh words for the crowd at the PSV game. So much for the twelfth man

Arsenal’s fans are worse than the team

If you didn’t see the colour of Thierry’s vest, then this one’s for you

From Tony Keeble: To all the loyal Arsenal fans that left as soon as PSV scored.

The team were unlucky last night, once again we have not won a game that we should have and deserved to win comfortably. I have no axe to grind with the players or the manager, although Gilberto would have been used to much greater effect in his normal midfield role.

I do however have a major problem with all the complete losers that left as soon as PSV scored. If you care that little about the club then don't come back. There was still time, however unlikely, to retrieve the game. I wouldn't want any of you as mates if that's how you react when things aren't going so well. The players must have been well fired up for one last onslaught when they saw all the seats emptying.

I don't care if you wanted to avoid the queue for the tube.

I don't care if you didn't want to sit in a mile long traffic jam.

I don't care if you had to get up for work early.

You either support the team or you don't, if getting home is that important and it upsets you that much then don't f***ing come in the first place. I have plenty of mates that would happily take your place if you can't manage the full 90 minutes.

You all let the club and your fellow fans down and you should seriously consider if you deserve to be part of this fantastic club.

From Marc Ollington: It was good to see the ground a quarter empty when kick off took place last place. I find a constant stream of people taking their seats in the first ten minutes really helps the atmosphere. It was almost as electric at The Grove as Anfield the night before last. And well done to the 5,000 or so season ticket holders who for some reason or other didn't bother to turn up. There were so many empty seats in the upper tier I went and watched the second half from there.

It was also great to see those club level twerps only take fifteen more minutes to get back to their seats (after half time) despite the plea from that Paul Burrell dude for them to get back. We got the result our crowd deserved.

This 'new' stadium of ours has destroyed us a football club. All we are now is a corporate business with a bunch of corporate fans to go with it. I think we've stopped being 'The Arsenal' now. To me this is more upsetting than going out the Champions League. If we can't raise an atmosphere, or turn up on time for a Champions League knockout match then we may as well all go home - and not bother coming back.
