    @Joe Broadfoot. Theres absolutely no the point in saying you want Wenger to stay 'as long is these things happen'. Those things you want will NEVER EVER happen! There are now only two choices. Want Wenger to stay and accept nothing will change and this slow decline will continue. Or want him gone with the hope another manager might improve things. Of course it could get worse but at least moving in one direction or the other is prefferable to the current situation where we're either nothing changes other than a slow decline.

    Apologies re: Gerry Peyton. I got the history of him meeting Wenger at Grampus Eight from what I thought was a good source... evidently he wasn't!

    Good podcast. Wasn't as depressing as I feared it might be! Couple of quick points though, Gerry Peyton was never at Grampus 8 although he did coach in Japan, and having met him a couple of times, he's definitely not a midget. Over six foot for sure and probably around 6'3.

    We lost 1-0 at home to Dynamo Berlin in 1979-80 before overturning them 3-1 in the away leg. That was before I lost the plot though.
