Nice Podcast chaps, great range of issues covered. However, I was a little confused by the apparent contradiction at the start of the show where the consensus was that we were too business-focused and had no football targets anymore and; the end, where the board of the late-90s were being accused of too much focus on the football at the expense of Man Utd-type commercial smarts. Kevin has been the voice of the realists for years. The followers of the Cult Of Wenger try to abuse him but the facts speak from themselves.Wenger has taken us from the Invincibles to being NeverWinAnythings.Last night will be seen a a bad result in the long run.And its sad how many fans have forgotten the Villa game already.Only Usmanov can save this great club from continued mediocrity.Payton and Stillman need to get their heads out of Wengers arse they are no different to John Cross and Tom Watt

Good podcast, The tipping point for a lot of fans came long before now, and patience ran out long ago also. There was and has been far far to much patience from fans over the years it's a pity they're all waking up and coming over to the dark side now when it's to late. Maybe if they'd have woken up earlier and shown less patience we wouldn't be in this mess. Expect the same supermarket sweep now with the type of players that were intended all along, not the ones talked about. How fans could allow themselves to be fooled again is unbelievable especially the ones who should know better. It's time for change and if people can't see that we really are in trouble.

t'pod was the usual mix of informative observations and sarky wit. The only missing question was - "will we paddle like billy-o after fourth place, and make it over the line arse backwards on the last day like we normally do?"

I always enjoy the Gooner podcast. Its perhaps not the most professionally produced, but it just seems natural... as if they are down the pub with their mates before a game. @Monty91 - I doubt very much as though Kevin does The Gooner purely as labour of love, but I'm equally sure he doesn't do it because he earns the wages of a magazine editor, so he obviously cares enough about our club to write about it regularly and for that alone he deserves some credit and not the personal criticism which you level at him. If you think you can do better, why don't you?

Monty91 : Kevin Whitcher has told the truth about Arsenal for some years now, you might not like it but he has been proven right. I thought it was an excellent podcast from people who understand Arsenal and clearly love the club. We need big changes at board and managerial level. We should know more after the next 4 games.

The earnestness of Garth crooks mixed with the humour of Nicosia Gooner. At least Payton's funny, whereas Wiltcher comes across as painfully dour and by all accounts edits the Gooner as a labour of love.

An American businessman buys a London sandwich shop that sells turd sandwiches where the clever shop manager has convinced the public that it is not a steaming turd but a culinary masterpiece for the intelligent with a discerning palate and every time the shop opens 60,000 people flock through the doors and spend millions of pounds on said sandwich, if you were that American owner would you in all seriousness remove that manager or would you give him a contract as long as your arm ?

  10. Wenger and the directors out

Great podcast. There are eight players still in Arsenal's squad from the end of the 2009/10 season but there have been a lot of ins and outs. Wenger and the directors OUT.
