An unabashed plug for the annual AISA Gala Dinner, the first to be held in the slightly more plush surroundings of the new stadium.
The event takes place on the evening of Saturday 26th May (the 18th anniversary of Arsenal’s winning the title at Liverpool’s ground) in the Dial Square suite of Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.
If you haven’t experienced what the club level residents get up to when they are not in their seats, now is your chance.
What you get for your money –
4-course meal with starter drinks,
Speeches from the guest players (listed above) and actor/comedian Alan Davies, hosted by MC Tom Watt.
The chance to win the following in either a raffle, auction or a free draw
Thierry Henry signed shirt
Stunning picture of Highbury signed by five living Arsenal managers
Liam Brady signed shirt
Tickets to a 2007-08 Category A match
Legends Stadium Tour
Club Level match tickets
& much more
As well as a general celebration of all-things Arsenal, the evening is of course the anniversary of that unique occasion at Anfield 18 years ago, when goals from Alan Smith and Michael Thomas secured a championship title in the final minutes of an unbelievable season. So with three of the '89 side at the dinner, including both goalscorers, there will be a special focus on the achievements of that team.
All proceeds from the raffle and auction are being donated to Arsenal's charity of the season, The Willow Foundation. Set up by Bob and Megs Wilson, in memory of their daughter, Anna, The Willow Foundation is a national charity dedicated to improving the quality of life of seriously ill young adults aged 16 to 40 through the provision of special days. Ask anyone you know that has attended any of the previous AISA dinners for confirmation that it is a cracking evening, well worth getting along to.
