New white kit might only be worn six times next season

Why produce a kit that will create a colour clash in the majority of away matches?

New white kit might only be worn six times next season

The latest pic doing the rounds, almost a reverse of the traditional home design

If the latest picture doing the rounds of the alleged new away kit about to be unleashed on an un-unsuspecting Arsenal public, I am struggling to think of many occasions on which the team would wear it on their travels.

So when would we wear it? Let's see....

It's not only the teams who play in white at home that will be a problem, that's too obvious, it's the red ones! You definitely couldn't wear this against Liverpool, Man Utd, Sunderland or Middlesbrough. This season we wore the following away from home (with a view to next season, relegated teams not included):

Aston Villa – yellow
Blackburn Rovers - home kit Prem, yellow FA Cup
Bolton Wanderers - yellow x2 Prem + FA Cup
Chelsea - home kit x2 Carling + Prem
Everton - home kit Prem, yellow Carling
Fulham - yellow
Liverpool - yellow x3 Prem, FA Cup, Carling
Manchester City - yellow
Manchester United - yellow
Middlesbrough - yellow
Newcastle United - home kit
Portsmouth - yellow
Reading - home kit
Tottenham Hotspur - home kit
West Ham United - yellow
Wigan Athletic - home kit

We need to add the following teams for next season
Birmingham City
Sunderland
Derby or West Brom

There doesn't seem to be any logic at all in what we wear and when, for example yellow away to Pompey and Man City, but home kit away to Reading and Wigan. And one of each v Blackburn and Everton? Who makes these decisions!?

I guess the new away kit could be worn in the following cases:

Birmingham, Chelsea, Everton, Man City, Pompey, Wigan.

That's all though, can't see it at Villa or West Ham with the red side panels. Six games (not including cups). Not worth buying it to be honest. I don't dislike the kit, I don't have a problem about the white thing as it's already been on our shorts sleeves and socks for decades, but six games? Why bother making it...
