With Thierry Henry’s departure from Arsenal, the question arises as to who should be the next Arsenal captain.

The current vice-captain is Gilberto, but is he the best choice?

There are many options in the Arsenal squad. Here’s my opinion of the alternatives…

William Gallas - too moody to be captain.

Jens Lehmann - too crazy and it looks like he will only be here for one more year.

Cesc Fabregas - Too young and captaincy will put too much pressure on him.

Kolo Toure - The best option, always trying to keep team spirits up, and in my belief Arsenal’s most loyal player. I think he would be a great Arsenal captain.
