A warm goodbye for Freddie Ljungberg, as he was a fabulous servant to the club. This has been a little overlooked in our positive start to the season. The departure of the other one who rightly and wrongly grabbed more of the glory has taken the gloss off his contribution.

Fred was Arsenal through and through dyeing his hair and clenching the fist when the going got tough in games. Bursting runs, always scoring against Man U and in big games, FA Cup v Chelsea.

I will always remember his performance in the final v Barcelona running his socks off to try and win the trophy that has so far eluded us. When people say we have lost Henry this season whatever we win or lose, Freddie should always be remembered. We should remind other fans we have lost him as well.

He did not really want to go, saying he would not join another English club. He realised he was not going to be a regular and had to leave. Thanks for the memories Fred and good luck (except when you play Arsenal of course!)

The Sperz continued to mouth off pre-season about how we are in decline. Well the league tables never lie do they? There is a belief now that we can do something this year but I will avoid making predictions. A good sign is that the team are not getting too wound up when they get kicked. We had injuries and bad luck last season.

Perhaps Man Utd's luck will run out. They won a lot of games in the last minute last year and were injury free. I'm hoping Chelsea will fight amongst themselves and Liverpool have too many new faces in their team.
