Eyewitness account of the Adebayor - Bendtner spat

Did an Adebayor offside run start the chain of events?

There have been a few articles on the website by people that clearly didn't see the fight on Tuesday night. I think maybe the Bendtner - Gallas rubbish was started by TV.

I was there and saw most of it. A minute or two before the coming together Nic went on a forward run with the ball. Ade made a run forwards into space but it wasn't a great run that didn't create an angle for a pass. It also looked to me that he would've been offside. Nic didn't pass it to him and ran into somebody and lost the ball.

Ade then got seriously pi**ed off. First he started shouting at Nic. Then he started to gesture towards the bench saying that Nic should've passed it. Then we won a free kick and Ade was still having a go at Nic.

Nic obviously told him to shut up and then they came together. Ade's hands were raised but it was difficult to see if it was his head or hands that caught Nic on the face. Sagna and Eduardo ran in to break it up and then Gallas went over to sort them out.

I love Adebayor and the improvements he has made are phenomenal, but that kind of cr*p can't happen and is really embarrassing (for me the most embarrassing part of Tuesday). I never thought I'd see blows between two Arsenal players. Are we Blackburn/Newcastle in disguise?
