The mystery of Hleb, Eboue and Lehmann

Hleb: Little in the way of return

Ever heard the joke about the terrible marksman and the constipated owl? One shoots but can’t hit. The other hoots but can’t sh*t!

What has that joke got to do with Arsenal? Eboue. He shoots but can’t hit. As a bonus he also can’t cross, pass, play football or stay on his feet if a blade of grass touches his frail body. But for some strange reason he is not the player who annoys me the most.

Even Lehmann with his constant backstabbing, moaning and general stupidity doesn’t annoy me as much as Hleb does. At least Eboue takes a shot instead of prancing round the box like a little fairy princess who’s just drunk a litre of Red Bull.

So I’m actually pleased that Hleb is leaving as Gallas has scored as many goals as he has and that is unacceptable from an attacking midfielder/ striker.

Maybe I’m being unfair as Hleb, with all his pretty darting about, must have loads of assists right? Seven assists, almost a third of Fabregas’ total. So with seven assists and four goals would we really miss Hleb? I don’t think so.

I think that if Wenger can’t find an attacking midfielder who will score more than four goals then we have a real problem. So, I hope everyone realises that losing Hleb is not a problem; in fact it is more of a bonus.

As is the loss of Lehmann who acts my age and is very unstable although he was a great servant to the club, kind of! Now to get rid of the constipated owl that is Eboue and we’ll have a fine hat-trick.

I can only feel sorry for Inter and Stuttgart if they do buy Hleb and Lehmann respectively; they have no idea what is going to hit them.
