I am “old school”. I believe in 3.00 pm kick offs, ten minute half time breaks and when the Highbury clock shows 20 minutes to five the game is entering time added on, sorry injury time.
I do not wear a replica shirt - Arsenal players are the only ones who should wear an Arsenal shirt and I don’t think the players should applaud the fans, I go to be entertained and if I am entertained I will applaud, not the other way round.
I do not subscribe to Sky, why pay towards something that gives less than a few per cent of your outlay to the team you support?
Why listen to old has-beens running down your team or patronizing commentators telling you how unlucky we were and if only we had a bigger squad. I know what is wrong with my team and I don’t need some “slick back” with a light pen drawing circles around our young boys pointing out their failings.
I now can avoid all this b*ll*cks and as I am “one eyed” as well as “Old School” I have just started to subscribe to Arsenal TV online, it is for me perfect, I get an “on side” commentator” who like me will see only the best in a Arsenal player’s performance. The fans forum will only talk about Gooner issues and I will not have to listen to the thick “Dwight Harts” ringing in explaining how Ramos has now prepared a side to challenge for top honours (although I might just miss that entertainment).
If things are going wrong I can scroll through the Arsenal library and pick out a game to watch to remind me just what we have achieved over the past 20 odd years.
I can now get Tom Watt, who finally has a platform where he can talk just about Arsenal, however the clincher for watching Arsenal online is that all Arsenal reserve games are shown live. This means I will get to see next season’s first team players in action and as our club are clearly not going to spend any money between now and 1st September, so the reserves will be the training ground for our future stars.
I had hoped to keep a keen eye on “Master Jack” but as he has now gone off with the first team playing his enforcer roll in the “Gutuso” mould it means I will have to look out for more emerging talent.
With my “Cycloptic” outlook on football I do not want the harsh truth. I want the embroidered version, the rainbow painted, the things will be better tomorrow version and I think Arsenal online TV will bring that comfort and at £3.99 per month (less than a burger at the Emirates) it represents great value and the fantastic bonus is that I do not have to put up with “old red nose” staring into my front room rambling on about how great is his 80 man squad and that Giggs deserves a knighthood crap.
