Arsenal first teamers Victoria Pelova and Rosa Kafaji both featured for the Gunners’ Under-21 side in a 2-0 win over Southampton on Wednesday, the Gooner Fanzine understands.
Isabella Fisher and Niamh Peacock scored for the Gunners, with senior goalkeeper Naomi Williams also playing.
Pelova played, and scored for the Under-21s against Manchester United in February as part of her return from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury sustained on international duty in June last year.
The Dutch midfielder was named on the bench for Arsenal’s senior side against West Ham on Sunday, her first involvement in nine months, but did not feature in a dramatic 4-3 win.
Summer signing Kafaji was not involved in Arsenal’s squad to take on West Ham, having missed three games in February due to injury and not being called up by Sweden for the international break as a result. Renee Slegers said after the win over London City Lionesses that Kafaji, who was not in the squad, "had a little physical problem".
Kafaji’s nine Women’s Super League appearances have all been as a substitute, with the forward’s only starts coming in the FA and Subway Cups.
