Fulham vs Arsenal is set for a 2pm GMT kick-off time on Sunday (December 8) at Craven Cottage on the banks of the River Thames in west London

Mikel Arteta's have been on fire since they returned from the November international break, winning four games on the bounce in all competitions, scoring 16 goals and conceding only three, including outclassing Manchester United 2-0 at the Emirates last time out. 

With Liverpool's Merseyside derby at Everton's Goodison Park called off due to Storm Darragh, the in-form Gunners have the chance to cut Arnie Slot's side's lead at the top of the Premier League to a mere four points, should they emerge victorious from their London derby with Fulham on Sunday afternoon. 

Arteta's side are set-piece specialists, having scored 22 goals from corners in the Premier League since the start of last season, more than any other team.

In a further boost, Arsenal have scored in each of their past 18 Premier League encounters versus Fulham since a goalless draw back in 2009.

However, memories still haunt fans after Fulham beat Arsenal for the first time in 12 attempts in last season's corresponding fixture on New Year's Eve, in a damaging defeat that arguably cost Arsenal the title last term, after finishing the season only two points behind eventual champions Manchester City.

The Cottagers for their part could win consecutive league matches against the Gunners for the first time and also come into the match in good form having lost just one of their last six league games.

Marco Silva's side are also unbeaten in their last eight league London derbies (W4, D4), their longest run since going nine without defeat from February 2000 to September 2001.

Fulham vs Arsenal team news

Fulham 

Fulham will be without Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson, who is ineligible to face his parent club - but would be missing even if he was allowed to play as he has a hamstring injury.

Tom Cairney is still suspended but Sasa Lukic returns from a ban. However, Harrison Reed and Joachim Andersen are set to miss the match.

Arsenal 

The Gunners will assess defenders Gabriel and Riccardo Calafiori after the pair missed the 2-0 win over Manchester United at the Emirates on Wednesday evening.

Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are long-term absentees.
