Arsenal confirm date of October away fixture 

The Gunners have confirmed the date of their League Cup fourth round fixture. 

The North Londoners are aiming to win the competition for the first time since 1993, and for only the third time in the club's history after the first victory in 1987.

Arsenal reached this season's fourth round after the exciting 5-1 win over Bolton Wanderers at the Emirates last week, while Preston have knocked out Sunderland, Harrogate Town and Fulham in the competition so far.

Mikel Arteta's side's Carabao Cup fourth round tie away to Preston North End will now be played on Wednesday, October 30.

Kick-off is scheduled for 745pm at Deepdale Stadium.

Ticket details will be released in due course.
