Form:
Arteta's Arsenal are in fine fettle, and host the French aristocrats in a mouthwatering clash in North London on the back of superb form, which included a late, but deserved triumph against Leicester City at the Emirates at the weekend.
Prior to that the Gunners routed Bolton 5-1 in the League Cup third round last week, while displaying outstanding form and character during the 2-2 draw against Manchester City at the Etihad two weeks ago.
Arsenal also earned a creditable point at Atalanta to kick off their Champions League campaign.
Team news:
Arsenal
Mikel Merino, Riccardo Calafiori and Takehiro Tomiyasu were all present for Arsenal training at London Colney on Monday, but there was no sign of Ben White
Arsenal owed their hard-earned point against the Europa League holders in Bergamo, in northern Italy, to an astonishing double save by goalkeeper David Raya - who made his return from injury during the victory over Steve Cooper's Foxes, after 16-year-old Jack Porter became the club's youngester ever starter against the Trotters.
PSG:
Arsenal will be boosted by the news Ousmane Dembele has been left out of the Paris St-Germain squad.
France forward Dembele has scored four times in six Ligue 1 matches for PSG this season, and also played in the 1-0 win over Spanish side Girona in their Champions League opener.
However, the 27-year-old had a disagreement with PSG boss Luis Enrique after being taken off towards the end of their 3-1 win over Rennes in Ligue 1 last Friday.
Arteta's PSG connection
The Arsenal boss signed for PSG at the tender age of 18. Recalling that memorable experience, Arteta said: “Luis Fernandez was the one who believed in me.
"That is what you need, someone to give you the chance and to be surrounded by the right individuals.
"They protected me like a son. It was the perfect environment for me to see what I was capable of doing.”
