Bayern Munich Women 5-2 Arsenal Women
Jonas Eidevall was humiliated in Bavaria on Wednesday evening after his side was routed 5-2 by Bayern Munich.
Pernille Harder's hat-trick sealed Eidevall's side's embarrassing fate, which has prompted questions about the Swede's future as boss of the North London giants.
Given the vast resources the underwhelming Eidevall has had at his disposal from England's biggest and most established WSL club, such a thrashing was simply unacceptable for the club's legions of loyal fans.
Eidevall's side arrived in Germany on the back of a poor goalless draw with Everton at the Emirates on Sunday - but went 1-0 ahead through Mariona Caldentey on the half hour mark, with Katie McCabe providing the assist.
However, Bayern responded before the interval through Glodis Viggosdottir's looping header, as the current German champions went 2-1 up through Sydney Lohmann's drive on 56 minutes.
McCabe posted her second assist of the evening when Laia Codina met her corner on 65 minutes, however, Harder stepped up to sweep Arsenal away in devastating fashion.
The former Chelsea attacker - who had failed to score in her previous five European matches - headed Carolin Simon's corner to steer her side into a 3-2 lead.
Denmark international Harder sealed the victory for Alexander Straus' side with another header in the 78th minute, before completing her quick-fire treble on 86 minutes, after goalkeeper Manuela Zinsberger's failed to take control.
Chelsea await at the Emirates on Saturday, with serious questions now being asked about Eidevall's future.
Arsenal then host Norway's Valerenga on Wednesday, October 16 in Group C.
Lose against Chelsea on Saturday and it is anyone's guess if the chronically underperforming Eidevall will still be in the role this time next week.
Losing 5-2 is a really painful result for anyone who cares about @ArsenalWFC. Simply not good enough from Eidevall
